SYSADVANCE participated in the 6th CoLAB BIOREF Workshop, held at the Aveiro Congress Centre, dedicated to the theme “Energy Transition: Renewable Gases and Bioenergy.”

Patrick Bárcia, SYSADVANCE’s VP of Technology, joined the “Biomethane” thematic panel, where he shared the company’s perspective on the contribution of this sector to Portugal’s decarbonization, the maturity of the projects SYSADVANCE is developing in international markets compared to those currently underway in Portugal, and the main technological challenges involved in upgrading biogas to biomethane.

We would like to thank BIOREF President, Francisco Gírio, for moderating the session, as well as the other panel members — Dourogás, Tratolixo, and Portgás — for the excellent level of discussion. Each organization brought a distinct perspective, united by the common goal of accelerating the development of renewable gases in Portugal.
